Coalición Regional por la Transparencia y la Participación* has prepared a study entitled Highs and Lows on Safeguards. How do BNDES, China Ex-Im Bank, IDB and CAF work?, which analyzes the application of socio-environmental safeguards at the Inter American Development Bank (IDB), the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), the Export-Import Bank of China (China Ex-Im Bank) and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) -in four emblematic infrastructure projects in the Andean Amazon region – regardless of having or not an explicit safeguard policy. It should be noted that this investigation has been previously circulated to officials from the financial institutions included in the publication.
